It is never too early to start thinking of great gifts for Mother’s Day. I try not to wait until the last minute afterall my mom is a huge part of who I am today and I am sure it is the same for you. For about as long as we’ve had mothers, we’ve had some version of Mother’s Day, and for good reason. The point of the holiday is to show your appreciation for how she’s raised you and everything she’s done for you.

There are plenty of ways to take care of your mom on Mother’s Day, but a lot of the common suggestions, like buying flowers, don’t necessarily apply to all moms. How do you feel about stripes?

I can’t believe that spring is just a few short weeks away. March 20th, marks the first day of spring and it can’t come soon enough for me!

If there’s one trend that seems to translate from the runway to our closets, it’s our much-loved stripes. Whether in handbags, shoes, evening gowns, or breezy tops, designers are certainly embracing this trend. The key to wearing stripes is all in your accessories. Whether it  be a glitzy clutch, a statement piece of jewelry or a lovely sequined scarf – accessories are an easy way to make you stand out from the crowd.

If you live in the Northeast, spring may seem like some far off dream … especially after the blizzard we had! I did not enjoy shoveling over two feet of snow but it was sort of nice to spend some time catching up on my reading and also thinking about planning a vacation to a tropical paradise. I’ve also started to think about my spring wardrobe and color is definitely in this year. Luckily for me, teal is still in as are lovely shades of purple, magenta and orange!
