I can’t believe that February is around the corner and of course with it Valentine’s Day! You don’t need to break the bank to make it a sweet holiday for “your special someone.”
Here are some fun and inexpensive ways to make it special …
1. Instead of an expensive night out, plan a dinner in. I’m going to try making some yummy lamb chops this year with some champagne and mushroom risotto.
2. Create a series of coupons that your sweetheart can redeem throughout the year. They could be things like a one hour massage, a whole week of cooking, dinner and a movie, etc.
3. Celebrate after the holiday. Many times I find on Valentine’s Day restaurants are over booked or have a very limited menu so we prefer dinner out a few days later!
4. Small thoughtful gifts are the best! Even though I love receiving flowers, they wilt and die pretty quickly but an inexpensive piece of jewelry, some chocolates or even some clothing would be a much better choice.
